Anna M. Downs, CFP®, ChFC®

Financial Planner

Anna Downs is a CFP® (CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®) and ChFC® (Chartered Financial Consultant) with nearly 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. She holds FINRA Series 63 and Series 6 securities registrations and is licensed in life insurance in multiple states.

Following in her father’s footsteps, Anna first became intrigued with the financial planning profession at age 13—and never wavered from that career path. Today, she occasionally collaborates with her father, Richard J. Eisenmann, sharing an office location in Superior, Wisconsin. Together, they provide expanded services to select clients offering group retirement plans to their organizations. As part of the firm’s long-term succession plan, Anna will assume a greater role in client service continuity when Richard—known as “Ike”—begins pursuing his own retirement goals.

Anna graduated in 2007 from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire with a bachelor’s degree in business management, a minor in marketing, and a leadership certification. Driven by her eagerness to enter the profession, she pursued her insurance and securities licenses while still in college. She joined Eisenmann and Associates as an intern in 2006 and continues to office there today, while primarily serving clients independently through Anna Downs Financial Planning.

Anna is deeply passionate about serving, educating, and leading clients toward financial clarity. She is known for her high attention to detail and her holistic approach to financial strategies, encompassing ethical asset management, financial planning, insurance, retirement planning, and worksite retirement plans. She works with individuals and business owners in all stages of life, with a particular focus on couples preparing for retirement.

Grateful for each client, I strive to provide a personal and proactive relationship that allows you to feel confident and supported in your plan.

For most people, making decisions about your hard-earned money can feel daunting and paralyzing—and those feelings are completely normal. Studies show that nearly 70% of individuals feel overwhelmed when speaking with a financial planner. One of my biggest goals is to help you move from overwhelmed to calm and confident. Whether you’re planning for retirement or leading a business, you can go from unsure to confident—knowing the decisions you’re making with your money are smart, intentional, and aligned with your long-term goals.

A CFP, or a certified financial planner, is someone who has gone through rigorous certification based on a set standard of education, examination, ethics, and experience through the CFP Board. The CFP designation holds certified financial planners to a standard of these things throughout their careers and ensures a level of professionalism and continuing proof of excellence. When you work with a CFP, you can know that you’re working with someone upholding one of the highest standard of ethics and education in the financial services field.
